Hour 8 Books We Keep Talking Up April 2022

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. As a young woman, I loved loved Scarlett O'Hara. Nothing to do about how she treated other people, just about how she was committed to life and then went for it. Unstoppable that woman. And she was only 28 years old when the story ends. What a powerhouse.
The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Miguel Ruiz. In my middle years, I discovered this Toltec wisdom book. I talked it up and up at a bookclub I belonged to. For many years I have been giving away copies of this book to people who will listen, who may be ready to set themselves free of the largest burdens of the chains of their own their thinking. Being human, I continue to struggle with some chains, so I keep reading and reviewing.

So, take a look at Unnatural Causes: The Life and Many Deaths of Britain's Top Forensic Pathologist ;-)

i think you started this thread too early. the discussion hours are based on the hours of the readathon, not the time. We're only in hour 6. :-)

Becky, I too found myself lit up on The Mists of Avalon. There was a movie on TNT long ago of the same name. It is good for a movie, worth watching. The novel is so profound.

Yes Jennifer. I have read some of Jean Shinoda Bolen's books. In sime of her books she talks about how what is good for the Earth is good for women and children .
The Millionth Circle: How to Change Ourselves and the World. The Essential Guide to Women's Circles
Urgent Message from Mother: Gather the Women, Save the World
I also want to read Like a Tree: How Trees, Women, and Tree People Can Save the Planet

Sarah, I have added Convenience Store Woman to my tbr. Looks like something I might really really like having worked customer service and sales for years.

Nice!! This one is already on my overall TBR. It was recommended by a book-tuber.

I agree

I read it in one day, it's very addictive!
