SOLVED. YA fiction about a hippie family living on a clearing in the woods. [s]

Hiya! I'm looking for a book I read around 10-15 years ago. All I remember is one scene where the main character (I think) comes to visit his friends family at their house. The family are described as hippies and the mc sees his friend's mother sunbathing in outside of their home fully naked. They live in a clearing in the woods and for some reason I vividly remember the main character being in awe that the mother did not have any tanlines. I feel like then the story goes on about him getting more involved with the family and also his sexual awakening, but I am not sure if I made that up. I read the book in German, but I'm pretty sure it was translated. Thanks for the help!
