Attention CFD!

For May, it's our consistently popular uniform challenge. Read a book with a uniform on the cover or a character in the pages that wears a uniform. The challenge is open to all types of uniforms.

Examples:
The Deadly Shallows (Coastal Guardians, #3) by Dani Pettrey Characters in the Coast Guard
The Warrior's Seal (Tox Files, #0.5) by Ronie Kendig
Cold Aim (The Line of Duty #3) by Janice Cantore Police Officer

Levels for this month:
1-2 Wearing My Civies (Civilian Clothes)
3-5 Putting on My Cover (Hat)
6-8 Going to Downgrade (Drop the Jacket)
9+ Styling My Full Dress Uniform

Who's in for this challenge?

Lynne Modranski (lynnemodranski) | 9 comments Ok . . . I don't mean to be negative, but this has me cracking up. I wear camies under my tops . . . hubby wore camo when he was on duty. (I assume that's what you meant.) Now . . . If I'm wrong and you were going for the funny, forgive my post!

Thanks for the feedback Lynne. It was a slang term as are the other levels. I've changed it out now.

I didn't realize camisoles were also shortened to camies. I've heard of camies used as slang for camouflage uniforms (I heard this directly from a guy in the Army many years ago). Interesting info!

Yep, hubby always called them BDU's - I have heard camies used for them, but generally all the guys (37 years ago) called them BDU's or camo. Just struck me funny when I read it!
