Sofia White (sofiaajazminn) | 7 comments The cover had a white/cream background and the illustration was of the rough sea with the lighthouse and possibly the bird which the man transforms into? The girl finds the man on the beach and brings him back to her family’s inn.
I am actually after the name of the author specifically, as I used to love her books when I was younger- I found a bunch of them at a car boot sale, I am guessing she wrote primarily in the 90’s.
Another one of her books was about a girl who drowned in a pond maybe? And another where a girl finds some slime which she feeds drops of her blood and it starts to grow bigger (I’m pretty sure this was another of her books, although I may be mixing it up with a goosebumps book so disregard that if it throws anyone off!)
All of her book covers matched, with them having the same white/cream border and a square box for the illustration in the centre. The copies I had where also smaller than your standard paperback, although not by much. Another small detail I can remember is that the titles of the books all had different background block colours, the one of the bird man book being dark blue, and possibly the one where the girl drowns being a light green. I also recall that cover having an illustration of a young mousy (light brown) haired girls face
Thankyou in advance!

Sofia White (sofiaajazminn) | 7 comments I also thing that the title of the bird man book went along the lines of ‘the mysterious mr ‘insert name’

Sofia White (sofiaajazminn) | 7 comments There is also a small chance that they where in fact not childrens books- I did have a habit at ages 7-11 to read anything I could grab my hands on and convince my mum was appropriate.. however of the ones I can recall all of the main protagonists where young girls so I assume they where in fact just some absurd childrens books
