I wonder if you might know why the series page is currently showing the books out of order (it lists them in the order 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 3)?

Well, I have a completely unsubstantiated theory that the latest GR functionality updates have added some bugs, including occasional series-order issues...but otherwise, no idea :) That said, I've put them back in order, so they should looks right now.
