SOLVED. ya novel with monsters in it that where sent behind a wall read 7-10 yrs ago

I read this book easily 7-10 years ago. I'm pretty sure it was a YA novel and the plot in its basic sense was ; people who have monsterous traits (werewolfs etc) are put into a walled off area of the town away from regular people. Story follows a woman who was on death's door and gets turned in to one (I think she was turned into a Gordon? But I'm not sure) to save her life and so gets banished to this town. Can't remember how it ended, really want to reread it.

By Gordon you mean Gorgon instead? I.e, snake hair and/or ability to petrify people?

Yes sorry I ment Gorgon as in medusa and co. I found it the book there after a Amazon deep dive, it was venom and vanilla by Shannon mayer
