Valerie | 2 comments Here's what I remember (spoiler alert): Set in London (I believe), contemporary romance, the protagonists don't meet until the end though one of their office friends is trying to set them up. I think they are set to meet once but he stands her up because he gets a call from his mom who is an alcoholic and he rushes to help her. Then she ends up dating a guy she met at the bar that night (while being stood up). The scene where they finally meet (extra spoiler alert) they are at an outdoor festival and both are waiting in line for food. The guy is having a conversation with his buddy, revealing what a feminist he is an that he is in touch with his emotions, and the girl has been checking him out because (of course) he is wearing a leather vest and bare chest.
Totally delightful read. That's all I got. I may have gotten some of the details wrong because it has been so long. Thank you!

MJ | 1617 comments I’ve read one like this. I don’t remember your ‘near miss’, but the one that pops to mind was when they were both at an art show. They’d both walked into a room with other audiences members, and then the lights go out. The art piece is to hi-jack their senses with sound or the like and makes the audience think they are standing in a field or outside etc.

If it sound familiar I’ll have a hunt. I couldn’t find it on a quick look.

Valerie | 2 comments Thanks Becca and MJ. Becca, close but no, I don't think so. Great books for my reading list though! MJ, that scene doesn't sound familiar, but again, it's been a while. Thank you both! I think the protagonists are in their 30s, or at least late 20s.
