There were a couple of things I didn't like. First Tracy insisted on going to Eric's home alone so she could get the story out of him. She even argued with Jenny about it. Why would she insist on this? It didn't make sense to me.
The other problem I had was after arresting Eric, she took him back to his house so he could arrange for someone to take care of his dogs. That never should have happened. They would take him to the police station and he could call his attorney and have them make other calls. Stopping at his house was just a way to put Tracy and Eric in danger. It never should have happened.
I enjoyed having both mysteries and was wondering how the two would connect. It was great that it was thematic versus a true relationship.
Robin, letting Eric go back home without having secured the scene was a weakness in the story. It seemed it was a way to kill off the police chief. I didn’t like that conclusion.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I couldn’t put it down.
