Tracy and Kins are called to the Collins home where the wife, Angela, has shot her husband, claiming self defense. Her father Atticus Berkshire is already there and is her attorney. He’s also a renowned defense lawyer and Angela’s father. What were your initial impressions? Did you have any suspicions or based on the scene, did it appear that Angela was defending herself and/or her son?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Angela claimed that she shot her husband in self-defense. Neither she nor her father would let her son tell his side of the story. I found that very suspicious.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I thought it looked fishy, too. The son seemed antsy more than shocked or grieving, but it's been a while for me.

There was just something off about the whole scene. I couldn’t put my finger on it but Angela seemed to have rehearsed her story and her son seemed oddly disconnected from her when he should have been holding on to her tightly.

It was enough for me to stay neutral.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I was suspicious but I didn't have enough information yet to decide if the mother or son were the murderer individually or if it was a joint effort.

If my father were a lawyer, I would call him first. Having Atticus there didn't surprise me.

Yeah, I would have been more surprised if Atticus wasn’t there.
