Angela claimed that she shot her husband in self-defense. Neither she nor her father would let her son tell his side of the story. I found that very suspicious.
I thought it looked fishy, too. The son seemed antsy more than shocked or grieving, but it's been a while for me.
There was just something off about the whole scene. I couldn’t put my finger on it but Angela seemed to have rehearsed her story and her son seemed oddly disconnected from her when he should have been holding on to her tightly.
It was enough for me to stay neutral.
It was enough for me to stay neutral.
I was suspicious but I didn't have enough information yet to decide if the mother or son were the murderer individually or if it was a joint effort. If my father were a lawyer, I would call him first. Having Atticus there didn't surprise me.
