Desert Star question

I predict that there will be more Ballard and Bosch books, but it will be Rene Ballard and Maddie Bosch as the main characters!

That wasn't the impression I got from the ending. However, I haven't read anything about fifth of five books. Although I suppose Connelly could always pull an Ann Cleeves whose Shetland quartet ended up with eight books or Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy with seven.

Not my impression either. I'd be more concerned about Bosch, frankly.

If Bosch is done, I'm out. Renee Ballard is not very interesting to me. Maddie is barely there. I've enjoyed the Bosch series until it started splitting to other characters. I do enjoy the Lincoln Lawyer a lot though and would read more of those. If he doesn't want to write about Bosch anymore, just stop and concentrate on the other characters. Don't make it difficult for the readers who have enjoyed Bosch over the years.

Bosch is the reason I read the books - I guess he can't live forever but I will be sad if he disappears. I like Renee but only for her interaction with Bosch.

Fear no, Harry shows up working for his brother Micky in the next Lincoln Lawyer book coming out in November.

Good because I like both those characters!
