SOLVED. Children's (Dr. Suess) book with Horton the elephant, the Grinch, & egg that hatches into a songbird w/ the most beautiful voice. Grinch wants egg/ songbird for himself but when it hatches, he is so sour inside that her voice hurts his ears. [s]

I'm pretty sure that it's a Dr. Suess book that had Horton the elephant, the Grinch, and an egg that hatches into a songbird with the most beautiful voice ever heard. The story starts off with the bird as an egg that didn't hatch yet but everyone knows what kind of egg it is and that when it hatches the bird will have an exquisite voice. The Grinch tries stealing it because he wants to hear the beautiful bird all by himself and that no one else should be able to listen. I think Horton tries to protect the egg so that everyone can listen to the bird together. There might have been other characters helping Horton. During the fighting over the egg, it hatches and a bird with beautiful, colorful feathers emerges. She starts to sing with this amazing voice and the Grinch is so sour inside that her voice hurts his ears and he can't listen to it.
I'm thinking that maybe it wasn't an original Dr. Seuss book, it could be it was a Dr. Seuss-inspired children's book. But I'm pretty certain it contained specific characters of his like Horton and the Grinch, and those would've been copyrighted. Unless it was a different elephant, not Horton, and the bad guy just looked like the Grinch.
If anyone has any info about this book, I'd really appreciate it!
