Val | 8 comments Hi, back when I was a kid (about early 2000's) i received two books that were connected on terms of style, however one of the books (i remember this one the best) had a collections of stories using bears to teach lessons. The cover was a tealish like blue. I can only remember two of the stories from from it vaguely. One, i am pretty sure was how pandas gained their spots and it kinda goes like

The white bears would see cats with spots and and other creatures with cool markings and a baby white bear asked why they didn't have spots/markings like them. He just recieved the answer thats just the way it was. And after asking several times he started crying and pounding on the ground and pounding on the ground and crying and when he was done he had the black marks. When he went home and the other white bears saw this they asked how he got it and he explained how and so they did the same things and thats how they got their spots.

The second story that i don't remember as well was about greedy (brown or black) bears that found a lake or river full of juice salmon and they didn't want to share so they build a screen or camaflouge to block the view of the lake/river from the others. This is as much as i can remember on this story but it was a lesson on how greed can ruin things.

If i can remember more I'll add on to it. I used to read this to my siblings all the time so I know I'm not imagine them but for the life of me i can't remember what they collectiosn were called. Thanks and hope you can help!

Rainbowheart | 28646 comments Do you think yours might have been a Christian book?

Val | 8 comments No, i would say it had more of an asian influence or native american.

Val | 8 comments Its not a teal cover for the specific book i was looking for. The second book had that one i think. The book i was thinking of was called Not-so grizzly stories by Hiawyn Oram
