@Alex: Welcome and very awesome! Grab a virtual iced latte and some warm buttered croissants going into the long weekend :-)
Hi, I’m Brianna! Joined the group a couple months back but felt as if I had nothing interesting to say, but now I’m finally feeling ok enough to jump in. I’m a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, three dogs and a bearded dragon lol. I love to garden and write a little though I do not look for any of it to be published. While a lot of times it can be difficult for me to find the time to actually sit and enjoy a book I still love reading. I enjoy fantasy, mystery thriller, horror and dystopian. I’ll pretty much give any recommendation a try lol, which is one reason why I joined this group and so I can have others to discuss books with. Thank you for accepting me into the group 😊
@Brianna: Welcome and very awesome! Much respect to being a stay-at-home mom with such a lovely family! LoL what kind of dogs do you have? I have a cockapoo and his name is Ozzy Skywalker :-DYou came to a fantastic group so I'm glad you introduced yourself as I look forward to future discussions with you in horror and mystery!
@LTJ we have three dogs:A pitbull named Odin
A chesky terrier named Apollo
And finally a min pin named chism lol
And thank you, it’s a hard job but I wouldn’t trade it for anything ☺️ trying to pass on my love of reading to the oldest for now.

Welcome Brianna! One of my two dogs is a pittie too 🙂. They are wonderful. Good luck passing on your love of reading. It worked for me with one of my two kids at least. He now wants to be either an English teacher or librarian and he loves to write.
Hi, everyone. My name is Brenda. I was a big reader in my teens and then some shit happened and I’ve never been able to maintain the same reading habits since I was 17 or so. So, coming on here plus recently finishing a book in two days this past Thursday has been my re-starting point. I like horror, mystery, biographies/memoirs, history, general fiction, science fiction, true crime, even YA if it’s done well…honestly a little bit of everything. Trying something new by reading two books at the same time: Salem’s Lot by Stephen King and Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann. I figured if I read a fictional no nonfiction book it might help maintain my reading habit. Cheers!

@Brenda: Welcome, my friend! I'm so glad you're here, yay!!! Grab yourself a virtual iced latte and some blueberry muffins to the left :-)
Howdy! I'm Kristy from Texas. I LOVE Horror! Ghosts, Zombies, Gothics, Classics, Dystopian, SciFi... I also love Retellings, Historical Fiction, Thrillers, Mysteries, Suspense, True Crime, Psychological, Fantasy and Adventure. LGBTQ+ characters are a BIG plus, especially when they are just organically in the story. I'm also always looking for my next read, even though my TBR list is over 100 long.
Welcome Kristy!Glad to have you here with us!
P.S.: Welcome to everyone in the past weeks, too, on my side. (Was mostly gone for some time) :D

Hello all! I just joined this lovely group and am excited to see all that everyone shares.I tend to read lots of different things but my favorite genres would be True Crime, Mystery/Thrillers, and Fantasy. I also love Horror but it takes a lot to scare me. Unless there are clowns in the story. Then I'm scared. I sometimes find myself in a reading slump a few times a year. I think it's because I'm always looking for that WOW factor and finding a book that does that for me is difficult. I also think genre fatigue plays into the reading slump. I'll go all gung ho in a certain genre and spend months or a whole year (I'm looking at you Brandon Sanderson) reading that one genre that it just puts me into a slump. I've been trying to do a mix of everything (physical books, ebooks and audiobooks) and even throwing in some books that I typically don't read (side eyeing The Mindf*ck Series) and it seems to be helping.
I love craft beer, Halloween, True Crime, Podcasts, and just recently started getting into crafts & acrylic painting. My most favorite thing in this world though is Lynyrd, my half Labrador/Half Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy dog who is the sweetest, smartest, stubbornest, and goodest 85 lb lap dog who I adopted almost 3 years ago. I didn't rescue him, he rescued me. He will be 6 next week.
I look forward to interacting with everyone and receiving some wonderful recommendations!
Have a magical day!
