Introductions (Hello - Hi - Howdy - Hiya)
@Lee: Welcome and very awesome! LoL yeah, same here, I'm at 84 books read, TBR is at 121. Slowly but surely we'll get there :-DThe scariest book for me is still IT by Stephen King. It still holds up to this very day and I also enjoyed the movie adaptations to it as well, the original and the two new ones rocked :-)
Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! @LTJ I can definitely see what you mean! IT has some very chilling scenes for sure!! I have yet to read the last 20% as I got distracted when I was reading it and started something else and never finished it. 😅 Long books are definitely not a strong point for me!!
@Lee: Exactly, my new friend! Oh yes, even to this day, the actual IT novel is a surreal, horrific, amazing reading experience. LoL oh boy, I think when you do finish it, it'll seal the deal for you!Yeah, I'm the same way with longer-than-usual novels. Fairy Tale by King took me almost a month to finish but to be fair, I had asthmatic bronchitis so it was hard to stick to my reading habits in September/October but I like to mix in long novels, novellas, anthologies, etc. to keep things fresh :-)
@Lee hello and welcome! I’d really have to think to come up with a book that really scared me, but I can say that Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk really disturbed me. My bad habit kind of goes the other way. I will finish a book I’m not really enjoying because I can’t stand to leave it unfinished. So a DNF is very rare. I hate that I waste time on the bad ones!
Welcome Aimee! The Ring is definitely one of my favorite horror movies. It’s super cool that it’s a book too!

@Aimee: Welcome and very awesome! I also love The Ring and remember how epic it was when it first came out. Enjoy as this group rocks :-)
Welcome @Aimee. I like horror manga too. Junji Ito is great!I see you’re reading Battle Royale, great book! Five stars from me and so much better than Hunger Games. The movie is great too.

Loved My Best Friend's Exorcism (especially since I went to high school in the 1980s)!
Hi everyone, Newbie to the world of fantasy. I've always been a horror and romance buff but now I'm also trying to dive into other genres! I just finished the GOT series (show — not book) and I'm finally reading the lovely Fae fantasy romance ACOTAR. Looking forward to all of the recommendations here to venture outside of my norm. My husband is a bit more of a fantasy lover, He's also joined the group!
Thanks for having us 🤘✨

Welcome Dani and Dani's husband! Make yourself at home around the threads! :) Great to have you both with us! :)
Hello. I'm new to this group and a massive horror fan! The last great book I read was Hollow by Brian Catling. While not a horror novel itself, it is Dark Fantasy with more than enough nightmare fuel to make up for it!

Welcome Matthew! Great to have you with us! I haven't read that book or author - I will need to check it out. I love reading dark fantasy as well. :) Make yourself at home around the threads. :)

Its a mind melting combination of catholic dogma, bending timelines and realities, the works of Bosch, and a road story with the most horrific of company!
