YA Sci-fi/Romance book about earth being controlled by aliens who do not understand human romance so they pay to watch livestreams of human dates and a guy participates in these livestreams with his girlfriend

I read this book in around 2015-2017 and it's been hanging out in my memory ever since. The cover art is like some kind of dreamy, impressionistic painting reminiscent of Van Gogh, but with UFOs or something above earth. Thanks for everybody's help.
