I think it starts on Halloween, there's a group of three or four kids (the main two are siblings or close friends I think, and the other one or two aren't as close to them) and they end up going through a round door into a fantasy land. The people there have like gemstones in their cheeks and the more they have the higher in the hierarchy they are or something. Also, waterfalls were important for some reason. I think I read it in 2012-2013-ish

I was certain the title was 'Through the Knock-Knock Door' for some reason
