Maven all the way! He is interesting and complex character and I love him with all my heart. And Victoria said in interview that we're gonna get a deeper look into Maven's past, so I think something interesting is going to happen in King's Cage.
No, Maven is Victoria's second favorite character after Mare. She said that several times.
I SHIP MAVEN X MARE ALL THE WAY! I never did ship cal x mare because even though cal is a cool character he just seems like the typical one to be a candidate.
plus I adore villain x hero ships :)

I am totally team Cal, I never liked Maven from the beginning. I thought him and mare would be good friends, but never more than that. So when Maven's betrayal happened, I didn't really care that much because I was always team Cal!
Cal!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally. I love Cal and after what Maven betrayed Mare I was like Cal all the way. Plus I think Cal loves her, even if he won't admit it.

CAL. Maven is the honest worst. I mean, he might not have been the worst to HER, but he was the worst generally. Bad people in love are still bad people. They're just also in love.
At first I was totally #TeamMaven, but after I read the 2nd book I´m definitely #TeamCal.
Maven, Maven , Maven. I dont know how, but he makes me love him in a really strong way. He was so perfect and inperfect at the same time... I LOVE HIM, i dont care how bad he is, HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.
I already finished the book. I just want to say that obviously of my point of view Mare should choose CAL!!!!! If I were Mare I choose him! At the beginning I thought that he was a good guy that all girls want to fall in love with and I thought that he was like everybody. I kept reading and I discovered he was a real idiot, despite it is pure fire. Attracts and seduces you until you can’t let it escape.
The more I read the more attraction I felt towards Cal and the more I began to hate Maven. At the end I cannot see Maven... I don’t want to made spoilers. If you had finished the book, you understand me
Being honest here, I like Maven, even after his betrayal. How could I see her with Cal? He seems fun, but I know he's all business when you get down to it, and he's not the kind of person to easily love, and I feel in the second book (which I haven't gotten to yet on my list, I swear, it's the size of Mount Everest!) Cal is going to screw up in some way and ruin every single one of his chances. Anyone else? Just me? Yes? Okay. Still, I feel he could make a comeback from his mood and learn to truly care for someone beyond the ties of family and close friends.
I think, everybody loves Maven, because he´s a ´Bad Boy´.

Alright so at the beginning I was bouncing back and fourth. Team Cal because he met Mare first and tried to help her get a job and stuff but then Maven was being so sweet to her by being there for her when she needed it. And then the dance lessons like OH MY GOODNESS, I died and I shipped it SO hard and I was dying for her to be with Cal but THEN they catch the scarlet guard and he tortures Farley and I was so PISSED I was like 'you know what? No, I'm team Maven all the way' so I was back on Mavens side with him helping her by deleting all her blood files so she wouldn't get caught and they were so adorable but then he freaking BETRAYS her and I was back on Cal's team because he's there for her, even after she betrayed him and practically ruined his life, he still tried to save her in the Arena and when they were about to die he holds her close and hums the song they danced to and I was fangirling SO hard. And then there was the whole 'him being there with her in Glass Sword' where they sort of used each other as a crutch to get over everything and lets not mention the super cute scenes in Kings Cage where they... you know *wiggles eyebrows suggestively*. ANYWAYS, yeah, Team Cal all the way
I don't know... :c. In the first book I was always team Maven , but in the second book i finally knew the personality of Cal, and actually, he is very... human. In the second book he isn't looks like a prince, he's just him.

I think Cal and Mare are perfect together! After reading Red Queen I came to believe that Maven and Mare could never become more than friends.
I used to not really love either Maven or Cal, but I just read the 3rd book, and now I love both of them so much more.Cal, for one, now seems more likable to me. I used to be like, "Okay, you're heroic and cute and (almost) everyone loves you, so I like you, but if you die in battle, I won't hide away in my room all say sobbing like I do when some other characters die."
In the 3rd book, he became a real person to me, with thoughts and feelings and the wonderful but sad hope the Maven will go back to the Maven he thought he knew.
As for Maven, I loved him in the first book, and so when he was betrayed everyone, I felt personally hurt. I spent the whole 2nd book waiting for someone to kill him, because then I would be avenged. (You may notice that I take books very seriously and experience very raw emotions while reading them. No judging, please.)
But in the second book, he too was a real person, even if he was one who wasn't even sure which part of him was real. I felt bad for him, and I thought, "Oh, yeah. I despise you. I forgot. Inconveniently, I'm not even sure if I do despise you anymore."
So now I am stuck. I like them both equally, and if one of them dies in the forth book, I will completely lose it, which is bad, because the odds of them both surviving are relatively slim.

I am honestly fond of both of them but mostly Cal beacause he is that strong and soldier type of guy that just makes me wanna fall for him...And I like Maven because come on, his the psycho one...Who doesn't love the psychos..? SOOOOO I SO BADLY WANT MARE TO END UP WITH CAL!

After the ending of King's Gage, team Maven all the way. Still waiting for a Shatter Me moment.
Of course Cal, since the time they have met with Mare I am shipping Cal and Mare. But at the end of the story Mare could be with Maven and I am really worrying about that. But anything can happen, no matter what my heart and my mind will be with Cal.

My friend is literally scared for me if Cal and Mare don't get together that I will become well.......messed up. So she ships them in hope that I don't die.
I'm totally team Maven! Just my 2 cents, but Cal practically betrayed her at the end of King's Cage. That already made me kinda dislike him.
I secretly really want her and maven to work out
I am still team Kilorn but if I had to choose either maven or cal I would choose Maven because I still really like him in some weird way
Well many of the things ( in book 1&2) were his mothers control and he did really love her... in his own way and he did actually try not to hurt her in book 3. He kept her away for as long as possible but I can understand why you don't like him but to me cal is just as bad in just another way and he kind of redeemed himself in book 3 UNTILL THE FLIPPIN END!
I was supporting Cal but Maven has a chance to redeem himself so for me its Maven
this is probably just me but I actually never liked maven... from the moment Mare met Cal in red queen, I was already shipping them
I've always liked Cal better than Maven, and the end of the first book made the decision quite easy. Maven is a puppy compared to Cal, and doesn't know what he want. I also look at Cal as Mare's type of guy, he's kinda like Kilmer (don't know if that's Mare's name in English?) tough. Can't wait to read the next two books to find out who she actually ends up with, or if she even end up with someone at all.
