I am only about a third of the way through the book and I literally LOVE Cal but I'm starting to like Maven so I can't choose!!!!

I just hate how in all love stories it seems like the girl gets with the prince charming or the "nice" guy and it just sucks because I really want her to be with Maven since he's such an underdog! It would be a total plot twist compared to all the other series out there. That, or she could end up with Kilorn. I really want her to be with Maven, but based on how things went, she never will be :(

I understand how you feel and I completely agree.The series would stand out if she ends up with Marven because most authors have not taken the time to transition an evil character to endgame( to a good person) I don't think all is lost yet though because it has 4 books....Marven<3

I really like Kilorn and I don't have anything against him. If he ends up with Mare then I definitely wouldn't see it coming.

I think she will end up with Cal, because quote on quote, can't remember the exact words...his heat engulfs me once more, its that familiar warmth that Cal can bring...later when they kissed...he is not a spark of destruction but a spark of life...chapter in glass sword..tells her brother I'm not leaving without and then earlier, we have that bond me and him against the world that deceived us...yea I'm done, though I have to admit maven is hot too..but yea noo

yeah if you read the excerpt on Glass Sword, Mare says that she still had "feelings" for Maven. But tbh i don't really mind who she ends up with :-/

I love the book, so I'm hoping there is lots of action and I hope we get to explore some of the characters more such as Elara because I feel like she has a lot more layers that just being evil so cross my fingers

@Sophie I know !! I'm thinking maybe Elara isn't really evil and will help Mare at some point in the book. It's been turned into 4 books now !!!!

SAME. I'm going to spend my dying wish hoping she ends up with Maven. Cal is just...too cliche. It seems like every girl goes for the hot prince. PLUS I don't think they have chemistry. She talks in several chapters about how they have different views on the rebel movement. I don't know the exact quotes, but it just seems like every girl in every freaking love triangle goes for the "hotter" one.
FOR ONCE, I WANT THE UNDERDOG TO WIN! YEAHHHHHHHH!
But he probs won't because it's too cliche. I will be very disappointed if Mare doesn't end up with either Maven or Kilorn. Call me crazy, but I actually don't really like Cal that much.

I honestly can't decide... I like Cal sometimes. But I also like Maven sometimes. I think that she could end up with either honestly and although I wouldn't mind either I think that Maven would need to redeem himself massively before ANYTHING is going to happen between them...

I feel like Cal is cliche but Maven is a huge jerk sometimes. And Kilorn is quite annoying occasionally. Honestly all three of them annoy me and I don't know what to think or ship. I'm hoping to second book will clear things up a bit.

@Elizabeth Right ?!!! Cal is like those "too-good-to-be-true" fictional characters. Honestly Maven is the only one I find remotely interesting.

Yeah, well I found Maven interesting but what he did was... that was pretty unforgivable in my opinion. He was pretty nasty, I think he will have to do a lot of good things in the next book to become my ultimate Mare ship.

Yeah. I think it was horrible to do that to your betrothed and brother. I don't know how he'll redeem himself to Mare, but he'll have to think of something pretty good. Especially when he's got a whole group of well trained fighters on his back.

I just don't see it happening but you never know, he seemed okay and she loves him like a brother but things could change. ai still think that he would have to redeem himself almost as much as Maven. He caused so much trouble! But. I mean just think about Heir of Fire. There were four choices and maybe still are. But I'm so crossing my fingers for Rowan.

Haha, yes that scene was really funny and annoying. I mean that's like asking your best friend 'Do you think I could pursue my dreams?' and them just being like 'Honestly... no. I think you don't have enough responsibility for that.' I really want an Aspen and Kilorn friendship now! I like that idea. And America and Mare! And I think that Cal and Maxon would also work... haha that's fantastic. And then Maven can just have no friends until he redeems himself.

Okay, good. He's actually okay in the first book but... it all goes downhill from there. I'm so disappointed that he got a novella. But I haven't read the novellas yet so ehh, it's fine. But another reason I don't like him is because I adore Warner... he is epic.
