The Beginning of the Slog

Some people say this is the beginning of the slog, but I have to disagree. This book is one of my favourites and The Path of Daggers was a clear drop in quality. Am I the only one that thinks this, or is this a debate amongst the community?

I am starting book 14, my very first read through. People warned me of the slog and told me I had better prepare myself but.... I read all the books straight through and didn't feel "the slog". Sure, Jordan was repetitive at times and he went into too much detail in certain areas but this isn't new or unlike him. I've enjoyed this series. I am ready to move on but I have enjoyed it all.

Yeah I've just finished Crossroads of Twilight which is supposed to be the worst. This was definitely the slowest and probably the least interesting book. However, it definitely wasn't bad. So I think its been overly exaggerated, but it is definitely something I get
