I have to say I am not a very big fan of sci - fi but this story was quite good. I enjoyed getting to know the Alpha Team members.
However, the only negative for me was there was too much sex. I am at the stage now in my MM reading experience where little to no sex is great and concentrate on the story.

Getting ready to post my book now, and I totally agree with the "too much sex" thing! I mean they were either fighting, planning to fight, or having sex... well there was a bit of drinking in between, but mostly just a lot of really intense sex. Hmm, I think I will stick this in my review! LOL!!!

Review:
I have been meaning to read this series for years and have finally gotten around to it... and trust me when I say, I should have read this sooner! *grin*

I am familiar with Ms. Turner's work and have enjoyed every single story that I have read by her and this one was no exception. BUT, yes, the inevitable BUT... I can't believe I am saying this because in no way did this distract from the story, but... there was a crap ton of sex in this story! I mean they were either fighting, planning to fight, or having sex... well there was a bit of drinking in between, but mostly just a lot of really intense sex. I understand where it was all coming from, but hey, a little romance could have gone a long way! Yeah, that last paragraph hit the "feels" but I am old and want more! SO, I guess we will have to wait and see where things go in In the Ruins!

Review:
I enjoy these Harmony stories by Jayne Castle in that the action and mystery keep the story focussed. And the romance and friction is well managed.

Its been a looooong time since I'd read a JC story, but this one held up (mostly) to our more modern expectations. There is a high focus on 'strong and capable' women - more so than would perhaps be in a novel written today, because so much more has since been achieved. The need to highlight is less.

Narrated by Joyce Bean - a pleasure.

I really, really should have gone back and started from book one. I could not, for the life of me, remember who any of these people were. For real, nothing, nada. But the crazy think is I still really enjoyed it. Alexi and Sean had great chemistry. There was a ton of action and spy stuffs so I was never bored. I may actually go back and read the first two again just for funsies.
