Not reread material. Felt like I was being preached to in some places. A bit of insta-love where I thought the 2 men would have been a bit slower before jumping each others bones.

Sam has been handed the world, Harper is a loner who has fought for his place in the world since leaving home at 16. This is a sweet opposites attract story and while Sam is almost too sweet and trusting to be believable, this is the kind of feel good book that makes you believe in people again.
Two reasons this wasn’t a 5 star read for me: 1. when they first hook up, Harper is saying no and Sam goes for it anyway. Despite what Harper might had wanted, his words clearly said no and given his injured state I had a bit of an ick reaction when Sam ignored this. 2. The ending was more of a HFN v a HEA, the characters are young so it makes sense but I did miss the full HEA ending.

So, here is your next task!
Task 11 - 41. Read 6 books with over 10,000 ratings.

This one is a little tougher.
I'm gonna go with Sticks & Stones
I'll probably be slow about it too...sorry.
I don't get much time on the weekends.

re-reading is a different experience.
Knowing what's to come, it's nice to see all the smaller details. The ones that made me fall for these guys in the first place. I love when they fight, and give each other shit...but I also love the tender moments.
I think I liked this one, even better the second round.
Plus, Ty's family is pretty great. And entertaining.
Neither Ty or Zane are okay, but they are getting there. They've already lived though a lot. Not only their time together, but in their personal pasts. They both have some issues to work out.
I loved the ride the first time around. This time, I'm taking a little more time, and soaking it all in.

I couldn't sleep last night and got a lot of it read then.
If I can't sleep again tonight, I'll start another. I don't think I'll really get to read again til Monday though.

I've had this on my tbr for a while and was just waiting for an excuse to read it. It did not disappoint.
Jamie and Wes were roommates for years each summer at hockey camp, all the while Wes was harboring feelings for Jamie that eventually lead him to realize he's gay. After a brief encounter at the end of the summer of their last season of hockey camp, they go their separate ways as they head off to college. They are reunited at a championship game at the end of their senior years. As they both get ready for their new careers in hockey, their friendship is rekindled and they quickly realize the deep feelings they have for each other.
I love GFY and hockey so this book was everything I'd choose in a good read.

Sounds so fun!

That sound like a great day.

Went to my sons 30th birthday party yesterday. Was feeling something coming on.
This morning I felt bad enough to take a covid test...it's negative thatnk goodness.
But I feel like crap.
Just got back from Flea market and grocery shopping.
I tried to bow out after the flea market because I was feeling bad, but didn't work.
I'm gonna see if I can find another book that qualifes and see if they'll allow me to lay down and read.

I am almost done with another one for this category. If I don’t post it tonight I’ll post it first thing tomorrow morning.

It was. Had a great weekend. We went to a corean bbq and the cinema to watch Dr. Strange. Than the nice day yesterday and today I have been sewing for my daughter. And this evening a long zoom talk with Janeylou, Wende and F. So a nice weekend over all.

Yes, was great to meet up with everyone and to see Wende happy and back home.

Still magic. Loved everything about this book and can't wait to reread the rest of the series.

I nearly put this down when at about 40% into the book there was still nothing really happening. I thought the beginning was super boring and there were so many secondary characters that it was almost too much to follow along with. There was a lot of information and yet nothing was actually happening with the characters. And please explain how this family who has more money than anyone else and is constantly being hounded by photographers lives in a townhouse with only one bathroom?
Things did start to pick up though and eventually it got a bit interesting. I am somewhat interested in continuing with the series on the hopes that this book laid all the background/groundwork and the next one will be more interesting.

Don't know how often I read this book but I still love Adrien. He is such a nice guy. I would love to see his bookstore and go browsing the shelfs for books for me or sit in one of the armchairs in front of the fireplace. Sounds like a place I really would like to have in my neighbourhood.

Yeah, I went MF. A MF romance at that.
It was okay. I liked 1/2 the trope. Fake marrage.
Not a big fan of miliane air MC trope, but it was pretty cute.
The MC asking for forgiveness was sweet.
The dog part was cute.
But really, it was nothing special. 108,846 ratings Wow.

Here is your next task!
Task 12 - 33. Read 6 books in the same sub-genre, teams decide.
As a team select a sub-genre of romance and than read 6 books in that sub-genre. Please include the selected sub-genre in your completion posts.

I think no. That would be a genre but mm mystery is a subgenre imo.
Also BDSM, musicians, fantasy, historical (no option for me), humor (not an option I would like), horror, taboo (not mine if it is incest),

What would you like to read?
I like mystery, fantasy, paranormal, BDSM, mmm+.
I don´t like incest, daddy kink, historical, YA/NA and humor is a hit or miss for me.

I've made 0% progress. Hubby wanted to finish off the tv series we were watching.
So it will probably be noon my time tomorrow before I can finish, and have access to post that it's completed.
