if you decide to read a thousand splendid suns please read it as the fiction that it is and don't take everything stated in it as historically accurate!! the writing is great and moving but what you're reading can be misleading if this book is your introduction to Afghanistan. you're good to go if you keep that at the back of your mind while reading it <3
