Everyone seemed to really like the last Bernd Heinrich book we read so I figured we should read another one and I cannot resist a bird themed book!! So this time we're reading Mind of the Raven and I'm really excited about it. Ravens are awesome, they're so smart, and really that's all I know so I'm ready to learn more!
Come read with me, now or later or literally whenever (there's no deadlines here!!), and I'm looking forward to chatting about it!
I've fallen behind and haven't read this yet.... but I took this week of work to relax and get a break before my summer field season so I'll try to get to it this week and report back!! :)
I have been trying to make myself read this book given how well reviewed it is, that it's about birds (team bird!), that I have enjoyed other things by Bernd Heinrich, and that I try to not quit on a book. But I just couldn't do it. From the very beginning I was really annoyed at how he manipulates wild birds endlessly. And I know that's how a lot of research was/is done but it really bugged me and I couldn't get beyond it. So I quit. Sorry y'all! If anyone else has read it I'd love to hear your thoughts!
