I just finished Part 1 and it surprised me! Basically it was saying the story was at an end . . . and I am only 19 hours into a 29 hour audiobook!
I have enjoyed the book so far - it is pretty funny for the most part and well written to keep me entertained even in its epic-ness!

I have been working through part two and I don't find myself enjoying it as much as part one. It has his moments, but part one felt better overall.
Maybe it is the same as now when an author gets edited down to the basics for their early works but once they have popularity they are given more freedom to write whatever they want and it tends to get more sprawling and less tight in the flow (I hope that makes sense!)

Click for my review - I liked it . . . but could have probably enjoyed it even more without part 2
