Children's book - Sun disappears and boy goes on search to find it. Read late 80's early 90's. Spoilers ahead.

Children's storybook, the sun disappears and a young boy goes on a mission to find it. Can't remember much but it was a short story with color pictures. Read in late 80's or very early '90s.

I don't think any of those are it. The sun was basically hiding in a corner when the boy found it. Haha it was a really cute book!

Strawberry Shortcake and Sad Mister Sun doesn't seem like it fits either.

It sounds super cute! I hope we can track it down. Do you remember the style of illustrations? Bright, vibrant, pastel, cartoony, etc?

I think it was bright and cartoony. I distinctly remember one picture of the sun hiding in a corner, and the kid(s) finding it. Might have been more than 1 kid now that I think about it, but I dont think strawberry shortcake is it.
