This was a great second chance romance. Evie and Matt were friends growing up. Then she asked him to take her virginity and Matt did. Then he became a jerk and she never heard from him again. She realized her dream of becoming a chef, but because of the deceit of her partner, she lost her restaurant and has come back home -- the place she wanted to escape from as a kid.

Matt went into the military and is now a part of the Hostile Operations Teams. But when a mission goes wrong and he loses two members of his teams, he goes back to his hometown to recover...and rediscover the relationship all those years ago.

I liked Matt and Evie. They both had issues with the choices they made but together they were pretty much perfect. There was a lot of drama surrounding her restaurant and they had to rescue her sister, but Matt, is coming to discover that there was more than the military and the next mission.

The ending was sweet and the epilogue was intriguing. I'm excited to see where this series is going. I think it's going to be really great!

Review: Wasn’t sure what I can say about Bull but damn if I man as hot as this wants to protect me and the world from the evils around go right ahead, I don’t have a problem with that but I understand Skylars’ freak out and confusion of whether she can trust or understand but like her neighbors made her see that she’s too nice to actually see what’s in front of her until she’s in a situation. Can’t wait to see who’s next in this hot group of men.

Review: This book is the first in the new series from Kristen Proby. It is set in the with me in Seattle world, but now we have moved on to the Kids stories. I think this works really well if you have read the original series, if not you might be a little lost in all the characters that you are introduced to.
That said it was a nice new spin on “the falling in love with a movie star” trope. I was entertained but there was not much of a story. So it is nice quick and light read that I will not remember in a couple of days.

Review: This book mixes a lot of different trope’s: falling for my boss, falling for my brother’s best friend, unplanned pregnancy, but it does it really successfully.
I liked that both MC’s had a thing for each other for quite a while, so it was not a one sided or insta love story.

Review: What a twisted mess Naomi aka Daisy (nickname) LOL, she was the runaway bride that ran from one mess into another. Naomi is such a good person that she doesn't know how to stop being so good but when she runs into Knox, she's pushed into being more open with her mouth that it's too much fun to see the banter between them. Knox is definitely a real pain but who knew that annoying Knox can be such a sweetheart under that tough body and exterior. I really enjoyed these two and all the mess Naomi tried fixing but she needs to stop doing for others, trying to be the opposite of her twin and just enjoy life. Waylay is also a sweet, smart and fun kid and deserves a better life that she was giving and she's also funny.

This was pretty good. I see that it's just the beginning of this couple's story and that's good because I thought it was unfinished. Not sure why it had to be two books then when this one was short. Honestly though, it's not on audio so I'm not sure that I'll continue on with the series. I didn't like it enough to sit and read it since my ability to that these days is really limited.

Review: Lauren Runow is a new author to but such a positive surprise, I all ready read 2 of her books.
I thought that our song would just be yet another YA rockstar romance, however that is far from the true.
The story tells the tale of childhood friends becoming lovers, but the main story is about how to loose who you’re. I was really touched and throughly enjoy this read even though it was also hard as both MC’s lost themselves.
I highly recommend this book

So, I didn't know what to expect with this book. I picked it solely because it's a Mary Calmes book. But, I have to admit that I loved Miro and Ian.

However, Miro was totally clueless. Straight men didn't do the things that Ian did to Miro. I'm glad Ian said the same thing!

I really loved their relationship and I can't wait to see how it grows. The power exchange dynamic of it is very interesting and I think we've only scratched the surface of that.

I was a huge fan of the Cut & Run series and I was expecting this story to be more like that. And it was, with the two heroes being in law enforcement, but there's more there. So, this should be a new series that I will be very happy to dive into.

Review: Opposites Attract

I wasn’t sure how this was going to go but I really enjoyed it them. Lizzy and Jimmy were a pair and yes no one would have thought these two could have made any of this work but damn they sure did and I was so proud of Lizzy towards the end. She finally found her strength and her mouth. Woohoo!
Jimmy was a good guy all around and he just forgot for a moment but the good guy comes out in the end and his daredevil self is still sexy. I also enjoyed the sexy outburst from him and their banter. It was funny how he can always manage to keep Lizzy on her toes or maybe not. Hahaha

Review: This was a reread for me, and I liked as much the second time around as the first time
It is a classic rockstar novel, where the young inexperienced Evelyn gets married to rockstar in a drunken Vegas wedding.
And as you can guess that is not HEA to start out with, both MC needs change a lot about there life and themselves before they get their HEA.
Maybe not the most surprising storyline but a really well written Rockstar book, where you connect really well with the characters.

This is a reread that I haven't read this series in a while but now that I have, I am going to reread the rest of the series. This was a great storyline, it was very romantic, hot, and very different from your drunk and wake married in La Vegas book. Married to a rock star with commitment issues and a 5 carat wedding ring on your finger. Enjoyed it very refreshing definitely recommend.
