These are my tops from last year. I've actually read all the books in all three series.

I think I'm having a cranky book month. Nothing I pick up seems all that good even if I've been jonesing to read these books for sometime.1st Book
The First book I attempted was
This was a DNF. This was all over the place, but I kept listening until a passage came up that made me go:
Ok..eww.
I really did not need to hear how someone's room smelled like masturbation. I'm not a prude, trust me, but the context this was used in just made it seem like it was only used for the shock value. I also did not need to hear about the main character rubbing her hoo-ha over every surface just so she can get her rocks off. I hate to use the word stupid, but this is pretty much the best description I can give this book.
2nd Book Attempt
This was a DNF and that made me super sad and I read nothing for the next 5 days. I love Laini Taylor and I was 100 % sure I would love this book. Sadly, I did not love this book. It wasn't horrible, per se, but I could not get into it. I tried, oh I tried, but it bored me to tears and I wasn't feeling it.
I have one book left to try and I hope I can get to it before the end of the month.
I read Hot Seat. This was a hard one to rate for me. It's a Fantastic Coming Out Story but the romance didn't really work for me and felt like it was VERY secondary to this story. I also read Marked by Death and I really enjoyed it - Definitely going to continue this series!
I finished all 3 books picked for me this month. Thanks so much, Chelle, they were all very enjoyable reads.Chelle picked for me:
BONUS:
The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks - 4/14/22 ♥♥♥♥
Baby, I'm Howling for You by Christine Warren - 4/19/22 ♥♥♥♥
BONUS: Made in Manhattan by Lauren Layne - 4/22/22 ♥♥♥♥
I finished them all.
- I gave 2 Stars. It was a flat and laborious read. I didn't like either MC.
- 3 Stars. This had loads of grammar errors, could've used more betas or a better proofer/editor. It also ended at 90% with the rest ads. I don't like books that end like that.and
- 4 Stars. Chick Lit with dogs. It wasn't the best written, but the plot kept moving. Loved the pov from Baker, the dog. Cute fluffy read. I plan on reading the rest of the series.
