a little mistake or misstep, and you are blamed by people who don't even know you in this age of internet. It's just so scary. there's this q&a with the author at the end of the book, which shed more light on what was author's mindset while writing the book and its reception. it's enlightening, helps you understand the characters more.

Visalakshi (vishu-potter) | 231 comments I prefer to read the book first but there were many instances where I'd seen the movie before. It happens so

I have known about this book for so long but i always associated Kevin with Regan from The Exorcist and am scared of that kind of horror. So i maintained my distance. And then last month someone in their review of The Push called it a blatant version of this book. I quite liked The Push and suddenly i wanted to know about Kevin, hence everything else was pushed aside to read it. Some things did feel like the author of Push just picked up from Kevin's story and put it in her story but in the end I think We Need to Talk About Kevin is a much better story.

Nathan (nathan-93) | 554 comments The Good Son is also along such similar lines. 'Twas nice.

Nathan (nathan-93) | 554 comments @Em: A fantasy book I picked for the decade is beyond 500 pages. Is that acceptable or should it be between exactly 300-500 pages?

Should be okay as long as you don't find it long. Which one btw?

Bookworm (have loads of catching up to do) | 1001 comments Guys, what happened to this?

Anyone interested to continue? Since we have only 2 months before 2022 ends, maybe we can allow books starting from 100pg count (instead of 300 pg count), that way we can cover more towards our 2022 challenge and it'll be good incentive.

@Em, what say?

Anyone up for a decade challenge this year too?
We could do it after few weeks or even couple of months.
If I'm not wrong, our next decade will be 1990-1999.

Am in for this. Are we setting a time limit?

Bookworm (have loads of catching up to do) | 1001 comments Last time, we thought whichever team would finish first, would be winners right?

Do we want a time limit? Am ok eitherway.
