Girl is about to be hit by car but time changes so she can be used to fight

I don’t remember the names of the characters but at the beginning this girl is about to be hit by a car, but time stops and she is saved but only because she can now be teleported and used to fight these beings of light if I remember correctly. During this time she falls for a boy who is also part of her team. The boy has a condition that makes his eyes sensitive to light. Her mom is dead from a car accident caused by her dad driving drunk.
I read it between 2016 and 2019, and I got it from a highschool library.I don’t think the cover had any pictures on it beside green or pink “light”
