Thank you, for the suggestion. Though this is not the book, since one of the details I am certain of, is that it is set during the reign of King Charles the 2nd and is in England

Nope sorry this is not it, though it is still a terrific read

Did any of the book involve Charles II or take place at court, or was it just set during that era?
You mentioned that the cover reminded you of a romance cover. Was the plot focused on the romance between the woman and the nobleman or was that secondary to another plot?

The plot of it is similar, but it is not the book.
To answer your 1st question, It was set in that era and it does not involve Charles II (though I am not a hundred percent sure if Charles II made a sort of cameo or became kind of part of the plot since I did not manage to read the entire book).
To answer your 2nd question, I remembered reading the synopsis on the back of the book, which emphasized that the plot is focused on the romance between the woman and the nobleman. Like the nobleman hired the woman, initially to seduce the other nobleman. Though it does eventually turn into lust and love

Nicholas, Lord Kincaid, had finally found a weapon to use against his archrival, the powerful Duke of Buckingham--Polly Wyatt, the beautiful tavern wench Nick had rescued from the London slums. Little did he suspect that this urchin would so thoroughly complicate his life!
An irrepressible actress, both onstage and off, Polly played the role of a lifetime when Nick established her in their own cozy love nest, then set her to entrap his enemy. But as the duke grew suspicious, Polly's passion for the devilishly charming Nick surpassed her willingness to continue the dangerous ploy. And when the duke's cruel revenge threatened their very survival, Nick's fury matched his determination to win forever the leading lady who had so completely captured his heart.

Details, that I could remember. It is set in England.. maybe London. The nobleman lives with his sister. He did not tell his sister why he brought the woman from the bar/tavern to their house. His sister does not approve of her brother bringing the woman from the bar/tavern into their house. The woman was working in the bar/tavern, because it was owned by her aunt and uncle
I remember reading this in "Fully Booked" during the 2010s, more to the latter half. I am not sure if the book is old, though I do remember the cover gives the feeling like it was like those romance novels of like the 1990s-2000s.
It is published in English.
