I love how Rune has already learned how to guarantee a response from Quinn. I also want to know what Quinn might have seen happen when Rune said that.
We get yet another mention of Rune being more connected to/ better at sensing magic than others. I wonder if that's something that marks a future arcana/heir scion or something more.
John breaks my heart. To have to live on that ship and relive that horror and have to see your tormentor over and over with not even death as an escape, I don't understand how he is even the slightest bit still sane.
I already think Addam is kind of perfect, and his perceptiveness during Rune and Brand’s fight about the Green Docks just made me love him a little bit more. And then Brand and Rune making up was so moving. A lovely scene right before the battleship horrors!
The history that The Hanged Man maintained with stasis magic on the battleship was so creepy and evil, but I loved the way it told a “story”.

It scared the bejesus out of me then and it was all I could think of while reading the scenes set on the battleship.

I think KD's mentioned that that's a gift specific to Rune's bloodline, so presumably other powerful bloodlines have other abilities. Which I'd love to know more about...
