Nolasco continues to undermine his own department by leaking information to Maria Van Pelt, the television reporter. This is apparently a poorly kept secret so why hasn’t he paid a price for this before now?

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments I'd like to know the answer to that question. Tracy and her team all know that Nolasco is behind the leaks. Why isn't the bosses doing anything about it?

It’s my understanding that one of the worst sins you can commit in a police department is leak to the press when it hasn’t been sanctioned by the brass. Why he gets away with this is a mystery. I’m wondering if they’re a bit afraid of him.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments I don't get it either. I know there are times when recruiting is difficult, but this is grounds for dismissal. Nolasco is my #1 character to hate at this time.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I don't get it at all. It makes it seem like the higher ups don't really care about justice or doing the right thing. They just keep putting their heads in the sand with regards to Nolasco. I know we shouldn't compare this series to another but, I'm a huge Eve/Roarke fan and the parralels are so far off base it's almost like the whole system in this series is a huge joke. I'm hoping this changes as I really love Tracy - her team, Dan etc - just dislike everyone else, lol

That’s why I believe when it finally gets resolved, we will discover someone high up is covering for him.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments I think some senior managers are too wrapped up in the strategic planning of an organization. They listen to the recommendations of their managers when they bring forward recommendations. More often than not they rubber-stamp the recommendations with a minimum of questions. At least that is my experience working for good and bad management.

Eve's managers get involved with their subordinates whenever there is a controversy. They want the NYPSD to be the best it can be from the top down. At least that is true when they cleaned up after Naked.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments Jonetta, I hadn't thought about a higher-up guy covering from Nolasko. That would make better sense then that he could leak with impunity.
