Is reading problematic author books wrong??

and to answer, I don't read them in solidarity with the people who they have targeted with their stuff.

I am very new so be nice to me. I just don’t understand. And if i would understand it would be easier for me to not promote the wrong things.

I consider authors problematic if they've been already called out for their negative actions, and they just brushed it off pretending like nothing happened. I know authors are humans too and are bound to make mistakes, but if they ignore to acknowledge their wrongdoings and continue on being racist, homophobic, or what, then that's being problematic for me.
done?? I'm actually curious about it, also do you all read
their books or it's something that you all find morally wrong?
