message 101: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee’s eyes teared up. What was up? Oh. Right. George, Blake, dyslexia, ADHD, and she was about to start her period. Great.
Journee tried to straggle along through school, then at lunch she sat at their normal table, even though Gabriel was at the table next to them. Journee made a few jokes, and even planned a few coffee dates with her friends. She had to keep going. It was part of her being to keep going in life. She ate her meat loaf slowly, since her appetite wasn’t big.

message 102: by Addison (new)

Addison (( ikr 😞))

Journee finished her meatloaf, and stood up, her eyes meeting George’s. He started to whisper to all his friends, and they whispered to everyone else, and Journee knew what they were saying. Bad things about her, good things about him. Her eyes filled up with tears, and she walked out of the cafeteria. Dahlia and Loraine went to confront George, but Journee knew the damage was done. George had told everyone. She walked outside to the stadium, and sat in the bleachers, trying to keep her tears down.

message 103: by Addison (new)

Addison (( oml he gon die))

George grabbed Blake’s backpack. “Hey, motherf*****, watch where you’re going. You hit me, and I don’t care, but you watch your back.” he said quietly in Blake’s ear.

Journee, meanwhile, was sitting on the bleachers, breathing deep breaths of warm air in and out.

message 104: by Addison (new)

Addison George changed right then and there into a different shirt, giving girls heart attacks from how muscular he was. ((i go for the personality, not the looks ;) ))

Journee just sat out in the bleachers. She knew no one would come for her, and that was fine. She just watched the traffic go by. She put her head in her hands, and thought of everything.

message 105: by Addison (new)

Addison (( 😂 yea… true))

Journee saw Blake’s text message. She ignored it for a minute, then texted back:
Journee: bleachers on the west-eastern end of the football stadium.

message 106: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee saw him, and her heart pounded. What would he say?
Journee adjusted her hair, and played with her hoodie strings, then her shorts. “Hey.” she said quietly, looking off in the distance.

message 107: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee looked at him, and thought ‘Other than being embarrassed, dumped, and broken, I’m good!’ She just said, “Meh. Not the best, but at least I’m alive. I think.”

message 108: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee looked at Blake, her green eyes wet. “I’m sorry for last night. I just… want to be friends right now. Single.” she said.

message 109: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee’s eyes met his, and, impulsively, she reached over and put her arms around his neck and hugged him. Tears free fell.

message 110: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee couldn’t resist with Blake. She shook with sobs. She held on tight to him, not wanting to be alone. She felt so many emotions. Embarrassment, loneliness, hatred, confusion, shame, love. Love for Blake. But she had to hide it. She kept crying, burying her face in his shirt.

message 111: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee squeezes him tighter, needing him. She needed his presence so bad. “Why?” was the only thing she could get out.

message 112: by Addison (new)

Addison She felt her hair in her mouth, her tears embedded in Blake’s shirt, her heart up on his. She felt comfortable with him, letting it all out. She sobbed harder. The thing is, she never lets out her emotions. When she does, it all comes out. She gripped his shirt, her legs touching his, right up to each other.

message 113: by Addison (new)

Addison Finally, Journee untangled herself from Blake, wiping her eyes, which, somehow, the mascara was still on, even through heavy crying. She fanned her face, removing the hair from her mouth.

message 114: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee nodded. “Thank you so much, Blake. Sorry you had to go through that much crying and a wet t-shirt now.” she said in a muffled voice.

message 115: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee loved the feel of his hand on her cheek, but she just stood up. “We-We should probably go. Class is going to st-start soon. Let’s go.” she said. She hooked her ark through Blake’s, and they walked back to the main school.

message 116: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee went to the bathroom and wiped her face off with water, keeping her mascara on. She walked back to the classroom, her backpack on her back. She sat down, and put her feet up on the desk. She didn’t care anymore. George was a d***h***, so what? She’d be a girl boss. She pulled out her notebook and pencil, and waited for the teacher to enter.

message 117: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee saw Blake i’m the corner of her eye, but tried to train her focus on the teacher. It was hard, though. Journee finished writing the stuff at the end of the class, packed up, and headed to her last class, history.

message 118: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee sat down beside him in the back, feet propped up on the desk again. She pulled out her notebook and pencil again, and sketched while waiting. Her mind was everywhere, but especially on Blake.

message 119: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee caught his eye, and held back a smile. She signed under the desk for only him to see, “Go to Starbucks after school?”

message 120: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee’s smile slipped out, but she hid it quickly. She continued to take notes, yes sparkling with the prospect of Starbucks with Blake. She’d talk to him about the fall formal, and maybe they could go as friends. Or not… depends if he asks. If not, she’d go with Loraine and Dahlia, if they don’t have dates.

message 121: by Addison (new)

Addison The bell rang, and Journee got up. She packed up, and put her backpack on her back.

message 122: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee put up some stuff, then looked around for Blake. She would ask him if he wanted to ride with her.

message 123: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee spotted him at the same time, smiled, and heaved her bag back into her back. She walked over to him. “Hey. So I know you always take the taxi. Do you wanna ride in my car?” she asked him.

message 124: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee walked to the car with Blake, and got in the drivers seat. She got buckled and plugged in her phone to the bluetooth. She hit the car started, and Oxytocin by Billie Eilish started playing automatically cus she had been playing it before. “What do you want to listen to first?” she asked Blake, scrolling through her songs.

message 125: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee skipped the song and Levitating by Dua Lipa started playing. She danced to it as she drove off to Starbucks.

message 126: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee got 30 seconds into the song, then her ADHD kicked in and she skipped to the next song. “Mood” by 24kGoldn feat. iann dior came on. “Yessss! I love this song.” said Journee. “Why you always in the mood? F***** round, acting brand new?” she sang, smiling at Blake’s reaction.

message 127: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee looked over at him. “What’s up, Blake?” she asked, turning the music down a bit.

message 128: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee tilted her head. “Your… sister?” she asked.

message 129: by Addison (new)

Addison “Rap, hip-hop, pop, dance, alternative. A lot. But don’t change the subject!” Journee said sternly. “What’s up with your sister?”

message 130: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee glanced over at him. “So… kind of like me. Besides the gang part. I don’t do that. Too stupid.” she says. “But I’m sorry.”

message 131: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee nods. “Does she go to strip clubs? Does she smoke?” she asked, wanting to her all the info.

message 132: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee nodded, both of her hands on the wheel. “Hmm. You know, a lot of the time people do that, it’s because they feel lonely inside, so they try and fill it up with crazy things. If they feel like people don’t care about them, then who really even gives a crap what they do? So they go and do strip clubs, smoking, drinking, parties, gangs, jump off cliffs, etcetera.” she said.

message 133: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee smiles. “And THAT’S what you need to show her! Show her you appreciate her! Anddd you could have a talk with your parents about it, and get them to stay home longer.” she said.

message 134: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee shrugged. “What can I say? It’s in my blood. My mom, Zoe, is a therapist who’s especially good with teenagers and college students, but can do couples and kids and adults, too.” she said, grinning. She pulled into Starbucks, and unbuckled. She grabbed her lanyard with her keys and wallet, put her phone in her pocket, and opened the door. She stepped out, smelling the warm air.

message 135: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee closed the door and walked to the building. She opened up the door, and held it wide open for Blake.

message 136: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee walked with him, smelling the coffee bean smell. She loved the smell. She walked to the counter, and studied the food. “I’ve already gotten by coffee for the day,” she said, “so I’ll get a strawberry cake pop with this coupon.” she said, holding out her phone to show the employee. She paid, then took her cake pop and stood waiting for Blake.

message 137: by Addison (new)

Addison ((OMGGG I LOVE THAT COFFEE ITS ACTUALLY ONE IF MY FAVS FROM STARBUCKSSS))

message 138: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee waved him over to 2 lounge chairs separated by a table facing each other. She sat down on one, taking a bite of her cake pop.

message 139: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee’s blond-brown curls were bouncing all over the pace as she got situated in her seat. Her round green eyes popped, and her long black eyelashes showed very well. Her freckles on her mixed skin were bright, and she had a bit of frosting on above her lip from her cake pop.

message 140: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee turned pink from his touch, but took another bite of her cake pop. She had half left now. “So, um, do you like your coffee?” she asked.

(( btw Journee’s voice is exactly like Jennifer Lawrence’s ))

message 141: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee let out a small laugh, her rusty-ish voice showing. ((cus Jennifer Lawrence has a rusty voice, and it perfectly suits Journee))
“It’s a strawberry cake pop, and it’s delicious! I love it.” she said, smiling at him. “Oh! Did you hear? They nailed down a date for the fall formal! It’s October 18th, on a Friday.” she said.

((what’s Blake’s voice like?))

message 142: by Addison (new)

Addison (( oh okay))

Journee’s eyes widened. “Really? Why… why not?” she asked, finishing her cake pop.

message 143: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee nodded. “Oh. Yeah, well, whatever’s best for you.” she said. “I’m going. And, uh, it’s soon, so…” she scratched her ear.

(( do u soon wanna timeskip to the day before the dance? Journee could try and convince him, and tell him she’ll protect him. just an idea.))

message 144: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee got up, looking at her phone. “Well, I gotta go. This was nice.” she said. She gave him a side hug.

(( btw, Journee’s love language is touch, but quality time was close.))

message 145: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee left.

(( time passes, it’s the day before the fall formal…))

Journee wakes up late. Way late. It’s 7:30. She needs to leave at 7:40 to get there in time. Journee rushes to get ready and changed into: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/im...
She rushes out the door, and does her makeup while driving. When she arrives at Starbucks, she does her eyeliner, rubs in and gets her order, then drives away to school. She looks at her clock: 7:56. She was running out of time.

message 146: by Addison (new)

Addison (( btw the outfit is everything but the jeans are ripped and her curly hair is in a low ponytail.))

message 147: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee got to her school at 8:00. She jumped out of her car, and ran inside.

message 148: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee rushed to english class, and jumped into her seat. “Sorry I’m late, Mrs. Paylor.” she said, taking out her notebook and pencil, and propping up her feet on the desk. She glanced at Blake, then blushed and looked at the time: 8:06.

message 149: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee started to try to take notes, but her mind was everywhere. She had to convince Blake to go to the fall formal today. At lunch. She’d convince him by going to his table and asking him.

message 150: by Addison (new)

Addison Journee had to get him to come to the dance.

((later, at lunch))

Journee got food, then headed to the table where Blake was. She slammed her food down beside him, and sat down. “Blake. Please come to the formal. Please.”
