For One More Day by Mitch Albom – 3 Stars

I loved Tuesdays with Morrie when I read it last week, so I was excited that I was able to get this one from my library without having to wait. Unfortunately, this book did not live up to my hopes. Charley, the protagonist, is depressed and on the verge of suicide before a trip down memory lane changes things for him, and he gets to spend a day with a loved one he had lost. Whilst I didn’t really connect or feel attached to Charley, the story is full of love, pain, longing and regrets, and the writing style allows the reader to examine their own feelings on these topics.
