SOLVED. YA Dystopian series. Main focus on a female twin in the end of the world type of events. People only live up to their twenties. Spoilers ahead. [s]

Uhh not sure when exactly I read the book series, it was before 2016? I read it in my highschool's library that's what I know for sure. So between 2013 to 2016 I'd say.
I think but I'm not sure, that the book series had 'Garden' somewhere in the name, and that the series had 3 books.
Females lived up to 20 I think, while males up to 23? Something along those lines.
The first book starts with the twins, they both had different eye colors I think? Their parents were doctors or scientists too if I remember correctly.
The female twin gets kidnapped one day, as the world doesn't really have order and it's somewhat of a free for all.
She is grouped up with other girls, and is chosen to become a wife to someone.
The guy she got picked to isn't bad. He already has a wife, but she's close to her death day and still haven't brought any babies.
He gets three new wives, I remember one of them being really young, either 12 or 14.
The guy respected her and didn't force himself on her.
Uhh somewhere along the lines she meets her brother, as he comes across the father of her husband.
Alongside the series we figure out that the rest of the world isn't really dead and that no one out there is dying that young, but that it's an experiment of sort? The father of the husband (who's from the 'before', therefore old) is a part of it.
He apparently killed the old wife for... I don't remember why.
She falls in love with one of the servants and there's something about her name being also the name of a lake or a river, I forgot which one.
They run away, and get caught by some sort of prostitution place? There's a young girl there, the daughter of one of the other girls that is deformed by some way and doesn't speak really, but she does with her.
Uhh things go badly somehow, I don't remember how but they end up escaping that place too, and ending up in a place where an old woman is taking care of kids? There they find out she's dying. Later on we find out that the father of the husband was killing her using candies she thought were from the dead first wife, and after not eating them for a while it started killing her.
They surrender and go back because they have no choice.
After that I don't remember much other than the fact that young wife had a baby, and either her or the female twin killed the father of the husband for some reason, but before that the husband died in a plane crash instead of the female twin.
Uh sorry it's such a mess, everything regarding that book series is kind of blurry and it's been quite a while since I've read it.
