Mac and his colleague, Cheryl, are attacked in the jungles of Brazil. As she lay dying, Cheryl begged him not to leave her but he did. Wrong thing to do or did he have any other options?

He didn't have any other option. He was injured himself, even though he didn't know it at the time, but there was no way he could fend off the attack and still help her. They both would have been killed if he had stayed, and Cheryl would have had no chance.

I didn’t see any other option for him. He needed to get them help and he was worried about the third person in their group - granted we find out that guy has already flown the coop but he didn’t know it at the time.
