Nuclear fallout, boy wakes in silo, mutation, tribes, multiple books

Hello, I have been trying to remember or find this book series for several weeks now with no luck. I first read it somewhere between 2007-2010 I believe. The series starts with a boy waking in a silo to discover the world has survived nuclear fallout. The series continues along with him as he finds other survivers, and as he discovers there are different people living with assorted mutations. One of those mutations I can remember is a group of people living in the cliffs and I think they could fly. The books themselves weren't incredibly long, I read through them pretty quickly. There were at least 7 to 10 or more books in the series I think. The cover art was pretty colorful and vivid, nothing was particularly abstract.
I am hoping that may be enough information, as I am truly having a hard time pulling much else from memory as its been over 10 years since I have read them.
