Julia Abdel | 36 comments Hey guys,
when I started to read romance I enjoyed the whole bandwidth. Nothing could shock me or cause a dnf as long as it was well written and entertaining enough. But with time I got tired of the same old NA formulas. I CANNOT for the life of me read anymore careless cheating heroes, the manwhore vs virgin/heroine with 1-3 past lovers max.trope, the separation where the H sleeps around and sees the h in every woman he’s with while the h stays celibate and pines away. Argh, I can’t anymore! So, here’s my request: I am looking for well-written (doesn’t have to be Pulitzer level but please no Wattpad novel by a 14 year old with bad grammar) novels which are either safe (there can be OW/OM drama as long as the H or h do not engage or put them firmly in their place) or
safeish in that form that the heroine is the sexual adventurous part (take that, NA authors, ha!). Well written smut is welcomed, of course ;)
The world is depressing enough at the moment so please,GR community, help me out of my reading slump.

Flight Patterns by Karen White.
I always turn to Karen White when i am disenchanted with books.
Her characters come alive.

Aleksander | 129 comments I find the Bromance Book Club books by Lyssa Kay Adams surprisingly good! There is a bit of dudes being dumb, but the whole point is that they get over their egos and actually treat their s/os well. It pokes fun at shitty romances and the characters are entertaining, so I'd say give it a shot!

Autumn | 48 comments These are some emotionally intense books, but free from ow/om drama (to my recollection)

Starting Point (Doomsday Preppers, # 0.5) by Elle Aycart
Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1) by K.A. Tucker

Louder Than Love (Love & Steel, #1) by Jessica Topper

I have a few recommendations if they don’t need to be contemporary

Tangled Wires by Lillian Lark
The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston
Dying to Love by Reese Rivers
