I'm about halfway through listening to

I'm also about 60% through reading

I will probably finish both of these books tomorrow.

Absolutely! Definitely a fav genre ;) and with our spring confused with winter,
plenty of indoor reading/audio time to spend !

Fun plot twist on the title, by M.C. Beaton
Up now, a new addition to her Agatha Raisin series

Down the Hatch: An Agatha Raisin Mystery

In the non-Horror categories, I read:

And, thematically, I managed:

Blood and Ivy is the runaway winner for my favorite read, but it was much more a transporting work of reconstructive period history than a great whodunnit or gasp-inducing murder story. Bird Box worked better as a sort of cosmic horror story than I expected it to, so props there, but I thought the ending was pretty crumby. The Anomaly was probably the most fun horrorish story, though it's perhaps more of a thriller adventure. And Whispers was easily the worst book I read and one that I would not recommend.
I hope everyone else had fun this month!

Other mystery I read :
Finished A Murder in Old Bombay x Nev March - long winded but I liked
The Satapur Moinstone - another historical mystery set in India,
The Complete Sherlock Holmes - read a few of the stories here, will be slowly making my way to complete this tome.

Great month of mystery focused reading! Congrats Michelle..
Everyone did a nice job, but most importantly, I hope you enjoyed the reading. Next up for us is Sci-Fi Summer in June (a focus on Sci-Fi, but fantasy is also allowed). I will have the sign-up ready soon.

Hey, great selections! I'll have to check out Blood and Ivy. Sounds like my kind of book.
I'm not sure if I read Whispers or not. I used to be an avid reader of Koontz, and I still do read him occasionally, though his more recent books haven't really grabbed me. My favorites by him are Phantoms and Hideaway.
I loved Disappearance at Devil's Rock. I listened to it on audio several years ago. It was a great listen.
I'm actually not doing too bad. I'll share my update below. Happy continued reading!
