I read a book when I was in elementary school around 2014-2016. I don't remember much about it other than it was a realistic fiction about a young girl who had begun studying insects with her grandfather. I don't remember it having that much of a plot or twist other than just being the daily journal entries of this girl and the only specific scene I remember is the girl and the grandfather attending some event where they try Coca-Cola for the first time. (The book takes place some time ago so in context coke is a new thing). I remember that the house that the girl stayed at with her grandfather was out in the countryside and she would spend a lot of time in her grandfathers lab. I think there might have been a dog as well but I'm not sure. lastly, I read the hardback version but the cover had been removed so I'm not sure what the cover art looks like all I know is that my copy just had the title in a basic font on the front. Will update if I come up with any more information.
