Possible YA book mentioned in Small Fry (another book）

Lisa Brennan Jobs mentions reading a book when she was a teen in around the early 90s that was about a girl who lost weight and relived the experiences from when she was that weight before. It may not be YA, but that is my best guess. It is obviously fiction. TIA
