Delia Martin has always seen ghosts. She fled Sand Francisco after her parents death in the 1906 earthquake. Now a very persistent ghost has convinced her to return. Delia is staying with her best friend Sadie and her dying mother Esther. Sadie is engaged to Jack, a policeman, who along with his partner Gabe are investigating a serial killer who seems to be tied with Delia's ghost. Parts of this book were scary and I did like all four main characters. I did find it unbelievable that nobody doubted that Delia could see ghosts. There is also two killings near the end of the book that didn't really seem plausible. There appears to be two more books in this series. I plan on at least reading the next one.
