Just a quick note to remind everyone here of two things we all want and expect of participants in these groups when approaching these reviews:

(1) Please make sure you read the book all the way through and avoid skimming.

(2) Please, when (as will happen from time to time in these multi-genre groups) reviewing a book not of a genre you would normally choose to read, approach it in terms of how well it is written for its own genre rather than your personal genre preference.

In other words, please approach each book in exactly the same way as you would wish someone to approach your book, whether it is in a genre they like or not.

I’ve had the pleasure of discovering some super books that I wouldn’t have normally picked up, through being part of these rounds. Zara’s, which I read in a previous round, was one of them, and I’m always pleased when I read more of Balroop’s wonderful poetry. There are sone really talented authors in the group and I wish them the success they deserve.
