Hi Marlee..long time no see I havent been on the MM group since SH finished
me neither :) that event exhausted me! Like it was fun, and let me try a lot of different things I normally wouldn't... but it was a lot. Wende told me about this and it seemed less taxing and fun!
Well i agree with the less taxing and fun ..but it is quite confusing at first ..we played last time , had a great time but i was.just as confused at the end 😄

Well if teams are biger this time rounds and we sticking to the original board game then there may not be as many things to.pick from ..so that will help
So how do we register as a ream? Does the captain do it?And to we get to pick our own team name?!?

Hi girls 👋👋Last time it was 1 book each a week to enabke us to ask another team for a guess but we also had to do spell outs with other books we read which we can use for a snoop ..( see snoop word post)
I think Wende mentioned Caipi would be Captain… and Wende would assist as co-captain?

Here's how I would explain it if it helps:
Each week the team will choose a Room, Weapon, and Suspect that they're guessing committed the crime. As a team you have to read for ONE of your three guesses. SO for example lets say we guessed:
-Miss Scarlett (read a book that starts with S)
-With the knife (read a book that is MPG Mystery_
-in the ballroom (Read a book with a dancer character)
As a team we decided to read for Miss Scarlett. So everyone would have to read through A book that starts with S and post their completion in our team thread that week. That's all the required reading.
The captain then posts their guess in the other teams' threads starting with the one directly below us. If the team has one of those three in their hand they will say "we can prove you wrong" and pm the captain with one of the ways they can prove us wrong. (E.g. we hold the knife card, so the crime could not have been committed with a knife). If this happens, our guessing turn is over. **Note they may actually hold a Knife and the ballroom but they only have to "show" us one. If they cannot prove us wrong (they don't have any of the cards we guessed), the captain will move on to the next team thread and ask them the same question. This continues until either someone proves them wrong, or if nobody can that means you correctly guessed all parts and can submit your final guess to the mod and win the game!
On top of that there are optional snoop words. These are spellout words we get each week and if I remember correctly are associated with the cards you could get. I believe it is Author, MC and Narrator that will work for that but will have to double check. Works much like MMRG Spell. If we complete the spellout we can choose to "snoop" on any team by sending them a PM that either states "Do you have the XXX card" with a specific card or "Could you show us one location". These do not have to be completed within the week they're announced and not everyone has to do it (i.e. one or 2 people could read for the whole word and that's fine).

1. Do all the character cards have the task (read a book that starts with character name)?2. Are all the weapons card tasks (MPG Mystery) ?
3. Are all the room card tasks (character action befitting the room)?
