I read this book sometime between 2018 and 2021. The book is about a woman who goes to Ireland to learn more about or solve the mystery of her heritage. The story moves from present to Ireland during the famine in alternating chapters. The past story involves a woman whose husband has died and she has a son who is supporting the family. A young daughter is quite ill and she worries about the girl surviving. Many in their small town have died. There is a part toward the end when, in present day, a child goes missing and the heroine helps to search for her and they find her in the remains of a cottage, (the one where the woman, her son and sick daughter lived), and she's in the same corner where the Irish girl died. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
