Yeah, if it was a team challenge I'd expect lots of people crying foul, but for an individual challenge, I personally would be more relaxed, though of course Sophie could come storming in asking how very dare I!
(and of course, when a serial killer splits a body into parts it's usually head / hands / feet / arms / legs / torso, so that would be my other counter argument!)

My interpretation of rules for an individual challenge is very relaxed. For this one, Cat's serial killer justification works for me!
Everyone waiting for mazes etc, sorry for the delay! I'll have some computer time without children on Wednesday so I'll get it sorted then if I haven't done before.

Thanks Tricia... That was pretty simple! :)

Sorry it's taken a month for me to set this up for you, it is there if you log in with the same account details again.

It's in message 1:
If you are stuck, you can spell out either HELP or SKIP using only books that work for the direction you want to go and post the spell out in the thread including the task you are skipping in the post. You can then use one of the books to complete the square in the maze.
(*)Spell-it-Out Rules
Using the first letter in the book’s title, the first letter of the series name, the first letter in the author’s first or last name, or the first letter of a character’s first, last, or nick-name, or the first letter in the audio book narrator's first or last name.
If you are reading a translated version, you can also use the first letter of the translator's first or last name.
As always, if the first letter of a title starts with ‘A’, ‘An’, ‘The’, etc., you may use the first letter of the second word in the title to spell out your chosen word.

Very much unhelpful with the arcs.
I think I either need to focus on books for the tasks here are getting better at skipping stuff. Moving v slowly.

I have not moved in weeks! I have been completely distracted with books to finish other challenges now that the year is ending. And then the Read Harder Challenge for 2023 was announced and I've spent every day since researching books instead of reading any. lol

Though I’m not gonna lie, part of me hates that I’m not trying to reveal the whole maze. X)

Personal preference! Some people wouldn't allow themselves to use it, others would say it's a reasonable substitution. Where this is an individual challenge, I'm ok with a more generous interpretation of the prompts.

But that may just be my Britishness coming through. The original prompt maker may have intended a completely different meaning, lol.

Skipping: Read a book that is in the "Best Dystopian and Post-Apocalyptic Fiction" Listopia List
Direction: North - Title starts with A-M
H - Happily Ever Ninja by Penny Reid (12/21/22) - Title
E - The Enemy Trap by Maren Moore (10/15/22) - Title
L - Love Hacked by Penny Reid (11/23/22) - Title
P - Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid (12/02/22) - Author first initial

I've heard 'don't have kittens' before too, but it's not common at all. lol If you said it, I'd know what you meant, but I wouldn't have thought of it on my own. I love the way different people read the tasks.

I have several books talking about actual kittens, but in the book I mentioned it's used for being upset. That's also the way I interpreted the task.
"...my brother's about your age. I'd have kittens if he ran away from home."
Have kittens? She liked that expression.
Thanks for the help!
