I enjoyed this book, but perhaps not as much as others. I misread the blurb, and I had my heart set on reading about two religious leaders from different faiths, working together (which always makes my heart sing). The two were separate stories. It was as if he knew he didn't have enough for a Tuesday's with Morrie type of book, so he added another character to round it out. I guess that makes sense.
I liked the "Reb." He reminded me a little of my beloved Great Uncle Bobby. Every time the narrator used a sing-song voice for him, I flashed back to a Billy Crystal character. I enjoyed the "hole in the roof" preacher as well, but the story felt unfinished. I'll be curious to hear how it evolves now that Albom is donating money to the project as well.
