The third and last in the Nevada series arc of this series about Houses of family's with high level magic in Houston, finds Nevada's agency agreeing to investigate the kidnapping of Brian, Rogan's ex-fiance's husband. While there's a little bit of tension and maybe a bit of jealousy on Nevada's part, but essentially Rogan and Nevada's relationship is pretty solid and headed to the alter. What's going on in Houston among the houses is another story. Filled with twists, turns, tons of action, weather mages, and the full revelation of just what powerful magic rests in each of the Baylors siblings and cousins, and how some of it came to be, this was a wonderful wrap up of Nevada and Rogan's story. Especially since Nevada filed to form House of Baylor, thus protecting the entire family for 3 years while they forge alliances and acquire power and assets and become more skilled with their powerful magic.
Or does it? I'm already moving on to the next sibling in the series. I'm also hoping we see more of Zeus (a tamed creature summoned from the arcane realm that is like a colorful tiger with a medusa head) and a magical bear named Sergeant Teddy.
