Book plot: a divided society where a girl is kidnapped from her gated secure school from the leader of a gang that lives hidden underground. The leader holds her captive and was friends with her brother who helped create the gang and he killed.

The girl falls in love with leader. They live in a underground city where she has to wear a bracelet to get around.

So is this a Romance novel, then? (Group rules says you have to lead your header with the genre, i.e. Fantasy, Romance, Crime, etc. You can edit it from the desktop site, or mobile site if you choose to use desktop version. You also have to add the year (approx.) you read it, or about the year it was published if you know that).
Why the bracelet? Does it unlock doors (magnetic proximity switch sort of deal? Or digital signal?)? Or is there a magic forcefield?
